Challenge

Build an AI Agent and demonstrate that the agent can execute productive tasks. Whilst we welcome entries across categories, however key areas of focus will be in enterprise applications in the 5 areas below:

Remember, the deadline to apply is 15 November, 2024.

Simply, submit the following:

  1. A brief summary describing:
    • The problem your AI Agent is solving.
    • Your agent’s features and functionality.
  2. List of tools you used to build your agent.
  3. A brief demo video of your agent running tasks.
  4. A URL/ link to your demo app.

Prizes

The total prize pool of $1,000,000 will be distributed across 4 winners, each winner will get:

  • $150K in uncapped SAFE investment.
  • $100K in GPU compute or AI Model APIs credits.
  • Opportunity to engage with an AI startups incubator / accelerator.
  • Opportunity to access further funding from Agentplex Ventures.

Viktor Prokopenya

Founder/CEO of Capital.com

Viktor Prokopenya is an experienced entrepreneur and investor in technology beginning his career in 2001. Victor is currently the founder/CEO of Capital.com, a global online investment platform with offices in 15 countries which is the third biggest retail trading broker in Europe with 7 million accounts. He is also a lecturer at Leeds University in the UK.

Kristo Käärmann

Co-Founder/CEO of Wise

Kristo Käärmann is the Co-founder and CEO of Wise, a FTSE-listed global tech company building the best way to move money around the world. Prior to starting Wise, Kristo was a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Kristo was selected as one of the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers 2015.

Lake Dai

Adjunct Professor Carnegie Mellon University & Founder Sancus Ventures

Lake Dai is an AI educator, investor, and builder. She is an Adjunct Professor of an Applied AI class at Carnegie Mellon University. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sancus Ventures, a venture firm focused on pre-seed to seed stage companies, investing in the next generation of software infrastructure.

Travis Oliphant

Founder/CEO of Quantsight Initiate and OpenTeams

Travis Oliphant is a leading computer scientist and industry veteran. He has worked extensively with Python for numerical and scientific programming since 1997, and was the primary developer of the NumPy, SciPy, Numba as well as an organizing influence in the creation of Conda, Dask, JupyterLab, and Nebari. He is the founder/CEO of Quantsight Initiate and OpenTeams.

Jeremiah Owyang

Venture Capital Investor at Blitzscaling Ventures

Jeremiah Owyang is a General Partner at Blitzscaling Ventures where he invests in early-stage AI startups. He hosts a popular event series in SF and Silicon Valley called "Llama Lounge" for AI founders -- his Feb 2024 event was focused on AI Agents. Jeremiah is one of the first users of TwitterX @jowyang where he talks about AI trends.

Akin Babayigit

VC Investor and Founder/CEO at Tripledot Studios

Akin Babayigit is a serial entrepreneur and an active angel investor. He is currently the founder & President of Tripledot studios, one of the fastest growing mobile gaming companies in the world, which was recently valued at over $1.4 Bn. He was previously the co-founder of Luna Labs, a B2B SaaS solution acquired by IronSource in 2021 and held prior roles at Activision Blizzard King, Facebook, Skype, Peak Games and McKinsey.

Peter Frazier

Professor at Cornell University

Peter Frazier, the Eleanor and Howard Morgan Professor of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University, and a Senior Staff Applied Scientist at Uber, is a top researcher in AI-driven data gathering, specializing in Bayesian optimization and AI for scientific discovery.

We welcome anyone from anywhere in the world to participate in the AAGC. Whether you are a startup or and individual, it doesn’t matter; if you are interested in the AAGC you can participate. We are open to receive innovative applications from anyone.

It’s easy, free and there is no registration fee.

Remember: You agent has to run tasks in any of the 5 areas listed above.

The judging panel will evaluate and score your application according to the following 10 key criteria:

  1. ​Business: How well your agent fits in the 5 areas above
  2. Productivity: How productive is the agent in completing tasks
  3. Autonomy: The ability of your agent to perform tasks autonomously
  4. Automation: The ability of your agent to automate tasks
  5. ​Innovation: How innovative is your agent as compared to others
  6. ​Creativity: How creative is your agent showing agentic behaviours
  7. ​Efficiency:  How fast, compute efficient is your agent
  8. Human-Agent collaboration: The ability of your agent to collaborate with humans.

Open vs. close agent: Whether your agent uses closed or open foundation, base or pre-trained models

There will be 4 winners, each prize comes with:

  • $150K in an uncapped SAFE investment.
  • $100K in GPU compute or AI Model APIs credits

It is a prize structured as an investment. If you win the challenge, you’ll be offered an uncapped SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) investment. You don’t have an obligation to accept the investment offer. Click here to learn more about what is a SAFE investment and its benefits.

You don’t need a startup to participate in this challenge. You can participate as an individual. If you win a prize as an individual, we’ll help you incorporate a startup and then allocate the prize as a SAFE investment

Your IP is yours. If you win, you’ll still own your IP.

No, there are no tech requirements. You can build your AI Agent with whatever tool/tech stack you want. You can use any public or private, foundation or pretrained models like GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini, Llama-3, Mistral…use any framework like CrewAI, Autogen, LlamaIndex, DSPy…or build your own custom coded agent in any language/stack you like.
